How it works
The artist you want. A visit we build together.
Each artist has a group of reservations to fill before we organize their visit. Your $500 deposit counts toward that goal and toward your tattoo. The sooner the group fills with accepted projects, the sooner we can coordinate the trip.

Shelter Studio collects your deposit and connects you with the artist. This reserves a place for project review, not a confirmed calendar date.

Talk about your tattoo.
The artist contacts you directly to review your idea, discuss the total price and determine the sessions your project needs.

Confirm the visit and your date.
Once the artist’s reservation group is complete with accepted projects, we coordinate travel and appointment dates with the artist and clients. Your deposit counts toward your tattoo.

Your deposit is part of the tattoo payment, not an extra Shelter Studio fee. If the artist declines your project or cancels the visit, Shelter Studio returns your deposit in full.
Reservations are not open yet. Each artist’s reservation target and the complete booking and refund terms will be provided before payment.

No. You reserve a place with your chosen artist, subject to project acceptance. We organize the visit once their reservation group is complete, then coordinate appointment dates with the artist and clients.
The visit is organized when the artist’s reservation group fills with accepted projects. If the group takes longer to fill, the visit takes longer to arrange. A deposit does not guarantee an arrival date.
No. It is a deposit that counts toward your tattoo. Your artist discusses the total price with you based on the project and time required.
Your artist. Shelter Studio makes the connection and manages the deposit; the artist reviews the idea, discusses the design and agrees on the scope with you.
Shelter Studio refunds your deposit in full if the artist declines your project or cancels the visit.
The artist will discuss the number of sessions with you and arrange the required time before confirming your appointment.

We review the fit together and discuss the space, support, costs and responsibilities directly before announcing your visit.

Once agreed, Shelter Studio presents your work and handles reservation deposits. You speak directly with prospective clients, review their projects and discuss pricing and sessions.

Plan your trip.
Once your agreed reservation target is reached with accepted projects, we coordinate the visit with you. You confirm the schedule with your clients before traveling.
